In the name of God Amen the xvi th day of October in the yere of our Lord god on thousand fyve hundred & fiftye & in the fourth yere of the reigne of our soveraigne lord Edward the sixth by the grace of God of yngland ffrance & yreland King defender of the fayth & in earth under. God of this Church of yngland & yreland the supreme god I Henry Teylecott of the pisshe of Saynte Botolfe in Colchester being of hole mynd & perfecte memorye thanks be to God almightie make & ordeyne this to be my last wyll & testament in maner & forme folowing & doe revoke all other willes heretofore by me made or declared ffirst I comend my soule to Almighty God my maker & redemer, My bodye to be buryed in the Chirchyard of Saynt Botolfe aforesaid Item I giff & bequeth to the poore mens box of the same pisshe xij s Item I giffe & bequeth to Willyam Teylecotte fyve pounds & the same money of ~ th to be rereyned onto of my detts to me owying of the Cokk my late house as it shalle dywe after my decesse Item I will & bequeth unto Elen my wife all the residuese of the money to me owying by Jerom Miller for the sayd my late house called the cok & for defalte of payment of the same monye at the hands of the sayd Jerome Miller I will that my sayd wyfe hir heyrs & assignes shall reenter into the same Tenement called the Cok with the appurtemaning & them have & hold to hir & to her heyres & assignes in as (ample) man & wife as I myself & my heyres mighte by vertue of the dede indented thereof made betwene me the sayd henry & the sayd Jerome Myller as in the same more at large doth & may appere the residouse of all my goods both moveable & unmoveable first my detts legacyes & funery payd & done I giffe them whorlye unto the sayd Elen my wyfe whom I make & ordeyne to be myne executrire of this my p'sent Testament & last will In witnes hereunto John Gyne John peverell Taylour Henry Randall & other
